Good one from Pastor Rob...

Ironic . . .

A taste for irony has kept more hearts from breaking than a sense of humor for it takes irony to appreciate the joke which is on oneself

Christmas Time

The Lord can take care of Himself, but my assignment is to verify Him. I’ve met Him personally and I’m not a liar. However, some skeptics might think that I just have a vivid imagination.

Here’s some practical things to ponder? Christ lived a few years in the Mid-east over 2000 years ago. He walked around in those “Jerusalem cruisers” (sandals) healing and delivering folks. Ever wonder why millions of us still take showers, and go to church and worship Him? The Book written about Him, the Bible, is the all time best-seller. There’s a reason.

We celebrate his birthday called Christmas. Most businesses close out of respect for Him. I love to watch folks make u-turns for Jesus at Wal-Mart each December 25. There must be something to it! They don’t close for anyone else, not even Sam Walton’s birthday.

You may have trouble believing that Jesus walked on water, or raised Lazarus from the dead; but you gotta know! He closes down Wal-Mart and other huge stores for the Holiday. That’s a modern miracle! There’s something important about His birthday, wouldn’t you think?

Ask someone what time it is and they’re use Jesus. Our watches verify Him. It will soon be 8 a.m. December 25th 2007 A.D. Time is either B.C. or A.D. He is used to make calendars! Time begins with Him and will end with Him. I don’t know how to tell you this, except plainly: if you don’t believe in Jesus, You don’t even know what time it is! You don’t have a calendar.

Is there a real Jesus? Yes, Virginia, there really is! You can bet your life on it. That’s what I’m doing.
And a very Merry Christmas to you all from the Merry Heart Man

Let us remember that, as much has been given us, much will be expected from us, and that true homage comes from the heart as well as from the lips, and shows itself in deeds. ~Theodore Roosevelt

From Thoughts to Destiny . . .

“Watch your thoughts, for they become words.
Watch your words, for they become actions.
Watch your actions, for they become habits.
Watch your habits, for they become character.
Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.”

He Say . . .

“By three methods we may learn wisdom: first, by reflection, which is noblest; second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third, by experience, which is the most bitter.”
