WOW. . .

We went and finally saw "Narnia" tonight. What a great movie---The similarities to the Bible were astounding and done so beautifully--and entertaining...I HIGHLY recommend it for all kids and adults----If you've got any Bible in you---You will feel it....I asked my son, what did you think --and he said --"It was just like the Bible".....Thanks Disney----for money well spent.

Out of the Blue....

Man, God does sometimes amaze me----I had a blessing happen in my life just a few minutes ago that I was not expecting or even thinking about!!!This will get me so much closer to the place I want to be in life.
I had said in a earlier post that 2006 was gonna be the year to beat----Looks like it started early... If 2006 is gonna be anything like this---
I can't wait . . .
Thanks God---I wont forget where the good things in life come from...
p.s. I think he knew I needed some worries and stress taken off me---

Update on CD I've been listening too...

The Best Christmas Gift . . .

This is the my favorite gift I received this year----
This is Bon Jovi's best --great music, incredible lyrics and the best melodies...

All songs on this album are great--My favorites--

1."Who Says You Can't Go Home"
2."I Wanna Be Loved"
3."Welcome To Wherever You Are"
4. "Have A Nice Day"
5. Story Of My Life"

Actually the whole album --front to back is great---I love it...

People . . .

I now officially understand that God places people into our lives to help us through tough times. And these people have specific qualities that allow us to re-strengthen, and rebuild. They are probably there all along---but we never realize it until we are down. And thats when eyes are opened and we start to make the climb back up. It's like a kid who scrapes his knee while riding a bike----you help them up---wash their knee -- put on a band aid --and tell them to get back on and ride---and they smile, with a leftover tear in the corner of their eye..and they start to pedal....

I Get Knocked Down . . .

But I get up again---Man --After this year, I have un-officially nicknamed myself Rocky Balboa...I have definitely learned how to keep fighting----It seems like everytime I turn around---There is something else--But --Im not a quitter---dont like 'em--never have---so God --if youre trying to toughen me up----I am definitely getting there---somebody asked me the other day, "Why are you happy?" --To quote my Pastors---My happiness doesn't come from outside circumstances---it comes from inner strength and peace---and God gave me plenty of it---So it's Round 15----and the bell rings----Bring it on...!!!!

Lights . . .

Last night I decided to go for a ride and look at Christmas lights---with my XM radio set to "Holly" the Christmas station...I rode around, listened to Bing Crosby, James Taylor and many other artists and looked at the decorations...
The sky was as clear as I can ever remember seeing it...I stopped and got some hot chocolate and enjoyed the scenery...it was a very cool thing to do. It may seem kinda boring to a lot of people . . . but I am definitely at the age or something--that nights like this are something I want more of---I thought about how blessed I am, and how blessed this country is. It calms your nerves and your heart to take time like this---and I got one of the best night's sleep of my life...I think the ride helped in a lot of different ways.

Christmas

This year Christmas probably means more to me than any other year---Maybe I finally get it--We all know why we celebrate--the birth of Jesus--But there is a deeper level to just the manger, Jesus and heaven and hell. Love--Unconditional love---God knew that Jesus wouldnt be appreciated, he would be tormented and tortured...yet it was His love that allowed Him and His Son to do that very thing that would turn out so badly---but also, in the big picture, turn out so good---

If you just look at His years on earth as a man, you could definitely say it was a roller coaster ride---up, down and ended horribly...But yet LOVE stood tall and answered all the questions we as men didnt even know we were asking.
